In this week's very special episode of the Diabetes Nerd Podcast, we chat with Katie Beth Hand, who shares her experience with the Elodon clinical trial.

Katie Beth is a participant in Eledon Pharmaceuticals' clinical trial using an ANTI-CD40L therapy known as tegoprubart. This groundbreaking therapy is a very targeted immunosuppressant that blocks a specific signal in the immune system, rather than suppressing your entire immune system.

One month ago, Katie received a transfusion to implant cadaver islet cells. Today, she's only taking a few units of rapid-acting insulin every day, and her blood sugar is nearly perfect.
