Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has revealed the company’s new plan following major layoffs, falling gaming revenue, studio changes, and what Microsoft has described as a reset for the business.

Xbox now says it will return to player and revenue growth by the end of fiscal year 2027, improve profitability, strengthen its console platform, turn its games into larger global franchises, expand Minecraft as a creator platform, and bring its biggest properties into film, television, merchandise, sponsorships, and live experiences.
