Bomber and Red Record an Album in One Week | Code Zero Radio's Fox Cities Core

Folk duo Bomber and Red, Laura Bomber and Ben Lila, stopped by Fox Cities Core on Code Zero Radio fresh out of a studio marathon, and Andy got the inside story on recording a full album in just five days.Laura and Ben talk about how they met at Main Street Taps in Stevens Point, the Cerberus Sessions live album recorded at Gibson Community Music Hall in Appleton, and why they booked a week at The Train Station instead of a more drawn out schedule. They share how 11 musicians came together, what it was like to work with their engineer Aaron Duesterhoeft, and the surprise sound effects they tried to capture, from willow trees to horse hooves. They also tease a brand-new song that closes the album, plans for vinyl, and the "beautiful chaos" of double-booking sets at Mile of Music.Fox Cities Core is hosted by Andy McNamara on WCZR Code Zero Radio, an independent streaming rock station based in Appleton, Wisconsin. The show is your connection to the Fox Cities' lively live music scene, with artist interviews, venue spotlights, and show previews.Visit bomberandred.com and follow the band on social media for studio updates and release news.
