Bobby and Sarge live in Central Florida and the county they live in is changing. Slowly, portions of the county infrastructure is moving to a more centralized location. First, it was animal control. A unit under the authority of the county. Them=n, it's taken over by the Sheriff/ Now, its dispatch centers. More and more agencies are terminating their own dispatch and turning it over to the county. The Sheriff started his own police and corrections academies and is currently building his own training center. Will this take over the local State College that currently employs qualified instructors? Will the Sheriff underscore the costs for academies and bring in the municipal agency's cadets under their training umbrella? Will this be the death nail to the police academy? It appears the Sheriff would like to metro the entire county under his agency. Has this been spoken in public? No, it's speculation but the truth be told, the action of the Sheriff makes the option viable. Is this a good thing? Let us know what you think.
