"Deedee"

You know him as Concrete Mama’s resident historian, but this week, we journey down the winding road of Steven “Red” Edwards’ life, painting a vivid picture of a man who’s both a compassionate leader on the inside and a beloved family man on the outside. We’ll hear him sit down with Vik to discuss their parallel journeys with addiction, and an eye-opening conversation with Demar further demonstrates the healing power of true vulnerability. Demar swaps in for Red on today’s History Report: The Black Prisoners’ Forum Unlimited, 1970s Resources for those struggling with addiction: https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/helplines/national-helpline https://drughelpline.org/ https://nationalrehabhotline.org/ Featured Music (sourced from Artlist): Tell It in a Letter - Straight White Teeth Helpless in Your Arms - Leroy Wild Better Without You - Straight White Teeth Ain’t Looking Back - Richard Farrell Pirate Blues - Leon Laudenbach 3 O’Clock Blues - Tony Petersen Blue Collar Blues - Tony Petersen Sea and Rain - Tony Petersen It’s True - Cunningham Manor Broken Leg - Straight White Teeth Wild - Swirling Ship Father’s Eyes - Stav Goldberg Homebrew - Aves Raising the Stakes - T Bless and the Professionals Funkymania - The Original Orchestra One - Walz Coffee Stop - Creative Cuts - Aves Hosted on BuzzSprout.
