Spreading joy to others is a fundamental part of what she does with her music. In this name, she founded Music Around Us, which brings music performed by young musicians to residents of senior assisted living. Her music has won several awards, such as the National YoungArts Competition, the Juilliard Pre-College Composition Competition, and the New Voices Project for Composers Under 30 by the San Francisco Choral Artists. She was a fellow of NPR’s From the Top, and Luna Composition Lab. Her music has been performed by NYO-USA, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Little Orchestra Society, to name a few. Her music reaches far and wide, to deaf and hearing communities alike, both of which she moves with her compositions.
