2 Samuel 15 shows how Absalom’s rebellion forces David back into the wilderness late in his life, but Psalm 3 reveals that even at his lowest point, David was not ultimately looking for the ark, the throne, or escape—he was looking for God, finding peace and hope in Him while surrounded by enemies.
