Skubal to the Dodgers, the WNBA's Biggest Problem, and a Taco Bell Conspiracy

Hello! It's the podcast that doesn't blame Martha OR the Vandellas. Today, Katie and the Casualties discuss the debut of the WPBL and the return of women's professional baseball, the format of the league, the joy of Maybelle Blair, the story of Mo'ne Davis, the questionable national anthem choices, and the unfortunate change in access to the broadcast, Tarik Skubal being traded to the Dodgers and the uproar it caused, the debate of whether the Dodgers are ruining baseball and the case for their front office just being better at it, what the Brewers could have done to land Skubal and why they should have, the moral quandary of rooting for a player who got traded away from your team mid-season, the Dodgers still getting swept by the Red Sox, Harrison Bader crashing his scooter... again..., and a round of "Should I have said that out loud?" with questionable tea stirrers, aversions to shampoo, and the '86 Mets wanting the freedom to kiss each other as much as possible. Then [45:56], the team gets into the WNBA's three biggest storylines from the weekend with the Mercury trading for Kelsey Plum, Cheryl Reeve defending transgender athletes and pushing for inclusion after she met with Sophie Cunningham, and the league posting a video of Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers openly betting on a game they were playing in, plus Olivia Miles' new nickname, Monica McNutt facing backlash for doing an ESPN segment from the nail salon, Carlos Alcaraz's braids, Colin Cowherd's interest in OnlyFans, Charley Hull pranking her caddy, Donovan Mitchell and Tyrese Haliburton (separately) getting married on the same day, rugby star Danny Cipriani and his wife openly crowdfunding their wedding, whether Drake London's engagement was discreet sponsored content or whether he was the victim of corporate exploitation, Macklin Celebrini, Gianni Infantino, Tony Romo, Karl Ravech, and Mario Lopez posting the strangest Dodgers content we've ever seen. And Chris wraps the show with what to watch in sports this week. Casuals merch!
