Reserve - The Crowd Behind the Single Bloom

This reserve tea opens pale gold and deepens towards honey, with small domed flower heads, narrow petals, dark green leaves, pale grass stalks, and pieces of root settling at the bottom. Seven plants, nearly every part a plant can offer, and not one of them a tea bush. The aroma is peppermint first, then hay, honey, apple, and a low earthy note. The taste is smooth and round, lifted by lemongrass and cooled by mint, finishing with a slow sweetness. Look closely at the white and yellow flowers: what seems like a single bloom is a crowd, each petal and yellow dome its own flower, a committee working together. From a distance, one thing; up close, a crowd. There’s always more behind what you see. Today's cup was a Reserve tea, All for One. We produced this one exclusively for our client and for subscribers of our Tea Ritual Box. If you'd like access to the reserve teas, visit: https://www.impalaandpeacock.com.au/pages/subscribe
