95) When God Doesn’t Do What You Prayed For

So what do you do when life does not turn out the way you prayed for it to? I share about one of the biggest struggles I faced during my divorce. Not questioning whether God could restore something, but wrestling with the reality that He simply wasn’t going to. We talk about the tension of knowing God is capable of miracles while also learning that faith cannot be conditional to getting the outcome we want. We look at the story in Mark where Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me,” and what it truly means to have childlike faith. Not naive faith. Not perfect faith. But dependent, honest, trusting faith that still reaches for God even when we do not fully understand what He is doing. This episode is for anyone carrying disappointment, grief, confusion, or unanswered prayers. I want to encourage you that even when life feels uncertain, God will absolutely meet you there. Sometimes He changes the situation. Sometimes He changes us. And I’ve learned that both, are beautiful. And both, hold so much purpose. We may not understand everything we walk through, but God does not waste pain. And what you’ve been through may become the very thing that helps someone else heal. What a holy gift that is.
