podnod 0.1.95 — reliable playback and missing chapters

podnod 0.1.95 is out. this release fixes playback stopping unexpectedly on iphone, brings back missing chapters and transcripts, and makes sure shows keep updating with new episodes.

listening

• on iphone, podnod does far less work while playing with your screen locked, so your phone will no longer close the app in the middle of an episode.
• if you pause or pick another track right as an episode starts, podnod no longer shows a "could not start" error.

chapters and transcripts

• shows with long back catalogues now get chapters and transcripts for all their older episodes, and any that went missing are being added back.
• chapters now show up for shows published with podlove.

new episodes

• shows with very long episode links or unusually long season and episode numbers now update properly with new episodes again.

the desktop app updates itself, the phone apps come through the app store and google play, podnod.eu is already up to date, and podnod.eu/apps has the downloads.
